Hello, I'm April

Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy, MBACP

I'm a therapist and counsellor, and I love my work. In working through the tough things, and celebrating the good, I hope we can bring about the change you're looking for.

grab a cup of tea and let's talk it all through

Perhaps you are looking to feel more joyful, confident and less stressed. Perhaps there are ways that you feel you're holding yourself back. Or maybe you're feeling low and have no idea why.

I hope I’m the right person to help you with this.

I am a therapist. I believe in kindness, gentle change and talking like real people. I work to create a warm space where you can be where you’re at, and I can help you work to bring about change when you feel ready. I believe there are many paths to feeling good, and I tailor therapy to who you are and where you want to be. Through the bad times and the good, I will hold your story with kindness and support.

your journey

I provide therapy that's tailored to you. Here are some areas we could cover:

Direction

We can learn about what’s going on for you, and your hopes for change. We can then figure out a direction that could be helpful for you.

Processing

You can speak your truth. This could be about the past, present or future. What's happening for you? It goes at your pace, and you guide what we talk about.

Change

We can work on mindset shifts, coping tools, and life choices that could get you on the path to feeling good.

Diversity

I do everything I can to make my practice inclusive of people of all genders, racial identities, sexualities, abilities and lifestyles. I will always learn about your experience from you, and I undergo additional training to expand my awareness of communities and cultural challenges. Your values, identity and experience are welcome here, whether you connect strongly to an identity, or whether you feel distant or different to the ones you have. If you have any questions, or if you want me to know more about working with you, please let me know.
